Bill Johnson
The developer of Hang-It®, Bill has spent over 50 years identifying problems and developing innovative solutions. He spent his youth tinkering with cars and later became a mechanic on a bottling line. The call of the sea sent him to the Navy where he learned electrical and electronic theory. His three-and-a-half years at sea opened his eyes to the wonders of the world and the possibilities that exist.
Bill worked in the medical device service and installation industry, starting with linear accelerators and moving to MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) machines. He attended System and Theory classes in Gatwick and Oxford in England as well as Essen and Erlangen in Germany. Bill enjoyed the challenge of working on advanced medical imaging systems with high-field and ultra-high-field magnets. When complex problems arose on the job, Bill was always asked to assist. He never backed away from a challenge and was guided by his personal mantra,” If I can’t fix it, it isn’t broken.”
